    Blondie9 :
Hadn't noticed I was posting all that much more. Actually, I've felt like I wasn't posting as much lately. First we were gone on that Christmas Cruise, then I've been busy at work with all the usual first of the year business and getting ready for tax time. I' ve had more free time this weekend than I've had for a while. I was noticing several of the usual gang were sort of missing in action, but now we find out Sunshine and IRemember are having computer problems. Knowitall9 must be busy with Masonic Lodge business. But where's Proud, Was There, Redfox, and 1968 Ferguson Graduate ?

    I Remember :
I sign in from my desktop at work and from my laptop which goes with me on the road. At the very beginning, you'll recall I had trouble and had to have CoachO do whatever he did with the registration, but once I finally got on, it's been fine ever since. I know just enough about computers to be dangerous, but at work we have several places where we have to use the same username and password boxes, and whenever anything doesn't work, it always turns out to be something to do with those "cookies" computers use to store information. I don't know what to tell you about where those things are hiding in your computer, but if you can figure it out, that file is probably what's stopping you and Sunshine from signing in.

Thanks for the info Ryder ! There is something wrong with my computer that includes more than cookies ! That shouldn't stop me from signing in on another computer, or am I mixed up about that too? Joetta can not log in either !

    Blondie9:
Absolutely. Doug was My Main Man, or at least one of them. He was a good friend, a good classmate, and a great teammate. We shared lots of good times. I was perhaps a little more adventurous than Doug, and he had the good sense not to get involved in some of our more exciting escapades, which also meant he got in a lot less trouble. Some of the times when he would hang back and say, "Ahhh...I really don't think that's a very good idea..." it turned out in hindsight that he was right. But if it was anything open, honest and aboveboard, Doug was right there. I haven't stayed close to Doug, and I really regret that. He's still a great guy.

Thanks for the update Redd Ryder. I'm sorry I missed it. All the Beauty pagents did use to be more classy than they are now. However it seems there is change for everything any more.

I Remember, I don't know that much about computers. My husband is very good on them. In Canada, we use to have problems with it, and he would always fix it. Most of the times the problems was cookies. He finally set up a good program to get rid of cookies. At least you got signed on here now, and Blondie9 too. Where is the rest of the group?

    I Remember:
I just posted on the Ferguson thread that I have had some problems, at times, signing on here. I have typed in FergusonSchool.com and a page has come up with Ferguson, KY Wikipedia information, such as statistics, population, etc. But if I click on one of those, down near the bottom is a very small link over to this web page. Sometimes it's easier if I just go onto the Ferguson topix, and find an entry where someone has mentioned FergusonSchool.com, and click on that. I'm not sure what's going on, either. Someone did tell me that they could not sign on this from their work computer, but had to be at home to sign on.

Now keep in mind that I don't know any more than anybody else about computers. However, for what it's worth : I use Firefox as my web browser, both at the office desktop and on my laptop. Firefox uses Google as its search engine. I click on Firefox, which opens up Google, and I type in FergusonSchool.com. It ALWAYS takes me to a whole page of Ferguson School web sites plus that Wikipedia entry you mentioned. FergusonSchool.com is ALWAYS the SECOND link from the top. I click on it and go straight to the front page of FergusonSchool.com. It never fails and never takes more than a few seconds. I also think it's interesting that Wikipedia, which is a worldwide encyclopedia, lists FergusonSchool.com as one of its references, even though FergusonSchool.com hasn't been up very long.

if you put this in your favorites, you can click on here from there. That is what I always do. Otherwise I would never find it!

    Ryder:
Wikipedia is very informative ! Sunshine and I were looking up things from there just yesterday. To bad she can't post! You're kidding us,right Ryder? I'll bet you know more about computers, than you let on. If you ever need a job, maybe Dan {Coach O } will teach you everything he knows, and you two can get a little business going. That 's a great idea, don't ya think? If you liked that one,Just Wait!
I have only begun to make suggestions. I know you will really be surprised !

The neighbor you referred to, was she in my and Joettas class ? I want to tell you again, how beautiful your little girls are. Where did you have the pictures made?
I took my 3yr.old grandson to Larry Whitt, the pictures were alright, certainly not as good as yours, and very expensive. I swear the pictures at Wal Mart were better.

I didn't realize before I met my husband anything about cookies. All I do know is that it caused my comp to slow down big time. Why would anyone want to attach spy ware to your computer. Hope you get it all straightened out. Have you all figured out why the others cant sign in on here?

Well, back from the wilds of West Virginia and looks like we have work to do. IRemember, check your email. Sunshine and Joetta, be looking at your email or listening for your phone because IRemember should be sending you some instructions. We have to get you able to post on here. I checked the website and you are both fully registered as members, so you ought to be able to sign in, and we'll try to figure out a way around whatever the problem is.

Thanks, I have added this to my favorites. The neighbor is JP, now JW. She married in high school, but went to Ferguson for a while, before transferring to Somerset High. Yes, she said that she was in yours and Joetta's class. I hope she gets involved in this, too. She did seem interested in reading all the entries, so maybe she will join us. Thanks for the compliments on my girls. The pictures that you saw were made by Angela Vaught. She is behind the mall. She is expensive, too, but she does a very good job. In her studio, Angela has many sets to choose from for a variety of backgrounds. We have had picture made by Larry Witt, too, and we liked them, but, I agree, he is expensive, too. With as many kids as we have, we're just happy when everyone looks at the camera at the same time!

    Coach O,
I'm not sure what's going on, but Scarlett told me that she had gotten approval for Ferguson Proud to post on here. I think she told you about that. After that, she got Joetta's approval to post. Just wanted to let you know....

    Julia :
Computer geeks have to come up with cute names for everything. They can't just call something what it is. A cookie is a footprint. It contains information about the websites you've visited. So if you visit a hundred websites, you'll be storing quite a stack of cookies in the "cache" of your computer. Then, when you go back to a website, it knows you've already been there. It is common for passwords and usernames to be stored on cookies. It is also common to store stuff you've bought or ads you've clicked on or which pages on a website you've gone to. So next time you go, you may see a slightly different website than someone else, because they're trying to cater to you so they can sell you more stuff. Theoretically, if someone could gain access to your cache, they could see your shopping habits, and know which catalogues or email ads to send you. This is one reason Spyware is popular, ignoring of course the fact that it's an invasion of privacy. Eventually you have so many cookies cluttering up your cache it starts slowing down your computer. You can empty your cache to speed it back up. But then you may have to reregister at all your favorite sites. If you check those little "remember me" boxes on sign in boards, you're basically telling the site to install a cookie on your computer.

    IRemember:
No, I really don't know a heck of a lot. I know a few things pretty well. I had to learn to use Excel, PowerPoint, Word, TurboTax, Reflex, Quicken, and InsurMax for my job. Learning all the ins and outs of those took quite a while, and they keep updating them every six months to a year, so I'm still having to work at it all the time. I don't know a single thing about the website, photography, moviemaking, or other fancy bells and whistles software out there. Even if I did, the computers I have don't have the capacity for me to load the programs or create anything on them. Our computers here are overloaded with those programs I listed above, plus all the documents and files we create with them. I'm flattered that you think I'm so knowledgeable, but the truth is when it comes to general use I probably don't know any more than any of the other people posting on here. From comments made on here, it is quite possible you know the most of any of us about computers.

When you have your computer hacked { as I have } you try and quickly learn all you can ! Someone must find my boring little life Very Interesting. That is about to change. Only a mentally unstable person would do this. I find it repulsive as well as Sick ! They must have a lot of time on their hands to follow me around on my computer. I have a very good idea who this person is,and for their info,I wouldn't give them the time of Day. We are going to start a new game, instead of guessing who you are,I am going to start dropping hints about my intruder, and let everyone guess who that person is !

I remember seeing you at church,I always admired you and your husband for caring
for so many children. Nancy Strunk had the prettiest little girl { I'm sure she is grown now } named Secret. I loved her name. Do you know what ever happened to her? Secret also had a brother, don't remember his name, that was a nice young man.

    I Remember,
The Strunks were our inspiration to have such a large family. Secret is a very pretty girl. I think she is still around Somerset, but of course, grown now. They certainly are wonderful parents. I don't know if I remember seeing you at that church. We changed churches about 2 1/2 years ago and I was trying to remember. What area of the church did you sit in? Who was the preacher when you attended?

When you first come into the FergusonSchool.com website, on the menu bar, click on Photos. The further down you scroll, the more recently they were posted. The ones we're talking about right now are way at the bottom. If you haven't been there before, you may want to take your time scrolling down, because there are a lot of pictures you may want to look at. I'm on my lunch hour, and I have a class at 1:00, so I have to go. I'll check back in late this afternoon and make sure you found it ok.
