    By the way, up here in Lexington it is snowing heavily. The flakes are big, it's coming down thick, and it's accumulating.

    I was sitting next to Joetta.

    Good night all, I am going to bed.I have had a very interesting day. Not one I care to repeat anytime soon. One of these days I am going to find a real Prince Charming.
    I am going to get on the back of his snow white horse and ride away to Never - Never Land. I will find out if he has any cousins or brothers - if so- I will send them to who ever wants them LOL!
  2.
    I Remember, make sure they are all Real Prince Charmings,--several of us may want one. LOL!

    Knowslittle : OK, Thanks. I'll correct that right now. Normally, a person meets several new people, he has to remember their names and faces. Here, he has to remember their names, Aliases, and faces. It doubles the challenge. Go check the pictures now (the ones we're referring to are on the Memories page).

    Ferguson Proud :
    Now think about this. You asked me to tell you what high school I played for after leaving Ferguson. Try to remember I'm the one trying not to give away my identity, or at least not to give it away to anyone except I Remember if I have to. Telling you what high school I transferred to would be like telling you my player number or my home address. Obviously, you would know right away who I was. It's one thing if you are a very clever detective and can figure it out for yourself despite my efforts to conceal it, but asking me to just hand it to you is a bit much. Anyway, tell you what : if you want to play detective, team up with Knowitall9 and I Remember and crack the secrets of Rogue, Secret Sister and Horseman. I would especially appreciate your identifying Secret Sister, being as she threatened me with bodily harm if I didn't behave, told me she knew exactly who I was and where I lived, and that she'd "out" me if I said one more "uppity" thing to her. That girl scares me. I think she's probably Barbara Flynn, also known as The Purse Flailing Mama.

    I Remember---you get up way too early. I used to be an "early bird", but now I'm opposite of that. Hope you have a good day.

    knowslittle:
    I do get up early ! It has only been several years ago { like about 5 } that I wouldn't go to bed until five or six in the morning, and had to be at work at 9. Didn't get much sleep, but sure had a good time ! I Remember a certain fellow { that you know }
    that use to call in sick on several occasions. I wonder if " Ferguson Proud " ever took his place? LOL!
  4.
    I remember no thanks is necessary we fergusonians need to stick together as we know we can all have bad times and need a little encouragement.
  5.
    Coach O,
    From where you were sitting, Hometown Girl (myself) was on the left, with Scarlett being on the right, closer to I Remember. Thanks for the information on the Atlanta tours. Both of us inherited the love for Gone with the Wind from our mother, and we are collectors of the memorabilia. We checked out the website and plan to make the trip in the future.
  6.
    To All;

    You all think "Knowitall9" is the spelling police!! You have not been introduced to "Hometown Girl" grading your papers. Just try to ignore and she'll get used to your way of writing.
  7.
    KIA 9,
    You may be invited on the trip, too, if you'll behave! Scarlett will have to inspect your socks before we leave...........

    Hometown :
    OK, I'll go in right now and change those names. Sorry about that. How could I sit at the table for two hours and talk to you two and have the names reversed is beyond me. Nancy's memory loss must be contagious. Or maybe her blinding beauty just obscured you two. Anyway, I'll be back in a minute.

    Nobody would believe the sock story , but it's true - now I'm doing it again -
  8.
    Coach O;
    I just received an email about ferguson proud. I really don't think I should have received this. Some error!!
  9.
    KIA 9;

    I will report you to the "Sock Police"
  10.
    KIA 9,
    The sock story may be too much information for Knowslittle, I Remember, and the other ladies.

    Hometown :
    Now go check and see if I have it right.

    And do make the Atlanta trip. We always take it as a school trip right after my students read and discuss the novel and they always love it. But put on your checklist that you have to have a copy of the novel with you. Every place you go, thumb to the corresponding place in the novel, sit there and read the page describing what you see, and look at it. You'll find Margaret Mitchell's descriptions are perfect. However, people who only saw the movie and never read the novel don't have that connection, because, much against Mitchell's objections, Cecil B. DeMille changed some things and filmed some scenes in places she didn't think matched. The biggest battle was over Tara. The book describes the house perfectly, but the movie created an artificial front which Mitchel despised. Of course, you'll find all that out when you get down there, take the guided tours and visit the museum. Save your pennies between now and then, because when you get into those gift shops at the Margaret Mitchell Home and The Road To Tara Museum you'll be tempted to max out your credit cards on all the memorabilia.

    Redd, I have decided you don't exist individually. I would have known you and you obviously would know me. If Secret Sister was Barb I think she would been at the Library meetings. Redd, unless you come forward, I am just going to assume you don't exist. Plus I could probably beat you one on one.....but I only play half court only anymore!!!! My mind still knows the moves to the hoop, but my body, says "You want me to do what"!!!!!! You know this is sort of like one of the mystery dinner theatres that you go to. Maybe you are Mr. Green in the Library with the Rope.
  12.
    Coach O,
    You have it right now. Thanks. We just didn't want to confuse anyone.
  13.
    I got an idea. We all need to get together and have a basketball game. Blondie, I Remember, Knowslittle, and all the other ladies can wear cheerleader outfits. We can play full court and the first one who has a heart attack will be the loser!! You up for a game knowitall9? Redd, I will take all the guys 54 and under and you can have all the guys 55 and over. You can have Coach Olmar as your coach and I will see if I can talk Kerry Cowan into being ours.

    Hometown Girl & Knowitall9 :
    Please repost here. We're trying to avoid fragmenting the discussion.

    HG, here was your post. I copied it for you before I deleted the thread.

    "It was nice to see everyone at the library yesterday. As I have posted previously, I have really enjoyed the Ferguson thread. When I was in the first and second grades, the high schoolers were still at Ferguson. I loved seeing the older kids in the halls as they changed classes, their hairstyles, clothing, etc. I also loved the old music and still listen to it today. Coach O and I Remember, the website looks great! The latest pictures are a positive addition. Love the picture of the school. I always thought that the Ferguson building and grounds looked more like a college campus, instead of a high school. Coach O, some corrections: I do not think that Elaine Thorton Holder, who is pictured with Vernon Norris and Billy Brewster, was a Home Ec teacher. Mrs. Henderson taught Home Ec. when I was there. Also, the picture taken at the library of the two looking over the program are left to right: Hometown Girl and Scarlett. Knowslittle was at the table, but not in that picture."

    Knowitall9, here was your post. I copied it for you before I deleted the thread.
    "I'm here. I think."

    Coach forgive the typo on your name.

    Proud :
    Sounds fine to me. I still play as often as I can. I can quickly round up most of the guys except Eddie Tucker, who doesn't usually come back home. Were you there when they rededicated the Ferguson Gym after the total renovation? Coach Omlor and Coach Gosser coached the two teams. We had everybody from Don Minton and Larry Duncan down to me, Billy, David Carr, most of us actually. The girls somehow made or bought cheerleading outfits and we actually had a big crowd. Even Nancy was there and kept score. We played full court and it turned out to be a pretty good game. Our team won by a basket. I still remember the announcer introducing everyone and then saying, "Now, out of the distant past, let the mighty warhorses ride one more time..." and the crowd about went nuts. You'd have thought we were playing Burnside or Somerset.
    Anyway, sure, let's do it.
  15.
    Proud,
    I think Redfox does exist. He knows names, places, etc. Otherwise, I would agree. I know someone will figure it out soon.
  16.
    I am talking about Redd Ryder, not Redfox.
  17.
    Oh! Well, then, you may be right.
